It was established with the ascent of the Governor of Rajasthan, and recognized by the UGC in 2003 under the state act.The mission of the University of Kota is to make this university a great seat of learning and to establish centers of excellence in Departments for teaching and research in different faculties and interdisciplinary fields through which studentscan bring out their hidden potentialities in lime light and contribute effectively towards the development of their beloved motherland ‘Bharat’ and humanity as whole.The university has education programs in six areas: Arts, Commerce & Management, Education, Law, Science and Social Science.
