Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is envisioned as self governed academic and research oriented institute, with a mission of enhancing human resource development through personnel assessment. The system of Common Written Examination( CWE ) has been approved by each of the 19 participating Public Sector Banks and the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) with the consent of Government of India . The first CWE for Clerical Cadre posts was conducted by IBPS on 27 November 2011.
