Border Security Force has published an advertisement and applications are invited from MALE Indian citizens for filling up 1438 posts of Constable (Tradesmen) in Border Security Force.

• Constable (Tradesmen)

Vacancies :

• 1438 posts (UR-508, SC-294, ST-242, OBC-394) in various Trades in various states of India

Required Qualification :

• Matriculation or equivalent from  a recognized University/Board with.


• i) Two years work experience in respective trades;


• OR


• ii) One year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute/Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade;


• OR


• iii) Two years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade .

Physical Standards :

• Height : 162.5


• Chest : 76-81 cms.


• Vision : Minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction(i.e. without wearing glasses).


• Weight : Proportionate to height as per medical standard.

Written Test:- 100 marks

• (i) The candidates who qualify in the PETs and Trade Test will be required to appear in a written test.


• (ii) The Written Test for 100 marks containing 100 questions (qualifying marks 35% for GC & Ex-Servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC) will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a black pen.


• (iii) The question paper will be set to assess the (i) general awareness/general knowledge, (ii) knowledge of elementary mathematic, (iii) analytical aptitude and ability to observe the distinguish patters and to test the


• (iv) basic knowledge of the candidates in English/Hindi. The questions will be set both in Hindi and English. The papers can be answered either in Hindi or in English.


• (iv) The duration of the Written Test will be 2 hours

Pay Scale :

• Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2000/-

Age Limit :

• 18-23 years as on 01/08/2013.
